Our Story
Mission Overview
The Rutherford Kippins Foundation, established in 2016, was founded to honor the lasting legacy of George Rutherford and Mildred Kippins Rutherford, who were lifelong advocates for children's education. Their deep commitment to helping young people thrive continues through the foundation's work. Their former home in Victoria Village, Guyana, now serves as both the headquarters of the foundation and the heart of the Children’s Learning Center.
At the Rutherford Kippins Foundation, we are dedicated to creating brighter futures for children in Victoria and neighboring communities by offering essential resources that empower their education and personal growth. The foundation provides free tutoring and mentorship, ensuring that every child no matter their circumstances has the opportunity to reach their full potential. In addition to academic support, we offer school supplies and general assistance to ease the burdens faced by many families.
But our mission is about more than just education; it’s about building a community where children feel supported and inspired to succeed. By nurturing the development of children ages four through seventeen, we are investing in the future leaders of tomorrow.
